Rex Special Care Nursery staff recognize the important relationship that parents and families play in ensuing the health and well-being of infants. That's why they utilize Kangaroo Care, the skin-to-skin holding of pre-term and high-risk infants. Kangaroo Care involves placing a diaper-clad, but otherwise unclothed infant, upright on the bare chest of the caregiver, usually mom or dad. Kangaroo Care has shown to be a valuable asset to the Rex Special Care Nursery, providing a greater benefit to mom, dad and baby."
