24 June 2005: Northern Ireland: Call to 'get tough' on those who attack healthcare staff:"The Northern Ireland director of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has hit out at the failure of the law in prosecuting those who attack healthcare staff. In the past year only seven people have been prosecuted following a total of nearly 5,500 violent attacks on workers including nurses, doctors and paramedics. Cases against four others are pending."
